• Your US license is enough. A valid US or Canadian driver's license works without an international driving permit. Bring your passport for the ID check.
• Minimum age 30 for our McLarens, with your license held for at least one year. The booking tool shows the exact requirements for each car.
• The deposit is only blocked. It is held on a credit card in the renter's name and never charged. Debit cards are not accepted.
• Free cancellation up to one week before your rental starts.
• Delivery to your hotel or the airport, with a personal handover.
• Crossing borders? Add the cross-border option when you book, or end your trip at another CarVia hub with a one-way rental.

Rent a McLaren: facts hardly anyone knows

Bruce McLaren founded his racing team in 1963. Since 2011, McLaren Automotive has also been building road cars in Woking, England, starting with the MP4-12C.

McLaren was the first manufacturer to consistently bring carbon fiber from Formula 1 to the road. As early as 1981, McLaren raced with a carbon monocoque - and today, every renter sits in exactly that technology. The chassis of a modern McLaren weighs well under 220 lb and is stiffer than steel or aluminum.
