I hired an M3 Touring through this outfit and it was a great experience. The guy who handed over the car was really accommodating and helpful. The car was phenomenal and everything in the process was super simple and straight forward. Definitely recommend!
Great company. Rented a GT4 in Stuttgart, they took the time to walk around the car to document any damages, asked for me to take pictures and videos. Great process, Car was clean and in excellent shape. Super service, could not be happier. I will have to do a trip every year from now on.
The best prices for cars in Germany. Good communication with customers, the deposit was returned the next day. I recommend👍
Such an awesome experience! Rented a BMW M3 and the ride was such an amazing experience. Pick up was in Munich and drop off was in Salzburg and each time was ABSOLUTELY seamless. Will definitely rent again when I'm in Germany!

Your Benefits with CarVia
Traffic Rules in Mallorca: What You Need to Know
Despite the joke that Mallorca is practically a Spanish province of Germany, the island has its own traffic rules once you're behind the wheel. To help keep you safe, we've listed the most important ones below – some of the fines are steep. By the way: if you pay within 20 days, you get a 50% discount.
Right-of-way signs are practically nonexistent. That means you need to watch out for other road users at every intersection.
Minor parking bumps are unfortunately common in Mallorca and are almost considered normal. Intersections are also frequently blocked by parked cars despite being off-limits – it's not technically allowed, but traffic law doesn't spell it out very precisely.
The Acire zones are a special case – only local residents may park there, and rental car drivers risk fines here too.
Colored lines at parking spots have the following meanings:
- White: free parking
- Blue: paid parking, except during siesta hours and at night
- Yellow: reserved for disabled permit holders and delivery vehicles
Speed limits, something many drivers might not expect coming from countries with unrestricted stretches, are strictly enforced in Mallorca. Within town limits it's 50 km/h (31 mph), on expressways 100 km/h (62 mph), and on motorways 120 km/h (75 mph). On country roads, the limit depends on the width of the shoulder: under 1.5 meters, 90 km/h (56 mph) is allowed; above that, 100 km/h (62 mph).
The blood alcohol limit is especially important to know if you're heading to the party scene: it's 0.5‰, the same as in Germany.
Sights in Mallorca: Between Nature and Culture
Mallorca is so much more than its famous party strip, even though the island is often associated with it. To help set the record straight, here are a few alternative reasons to visit Mallorca.
La Seu Cathedral is without doubt one of the most impressive Gothic cathedrals in the world. It sits in the heart of the capital, Palma, and is just a 20-minute drive from the airport.
Castell de Bellver dates back to the 14th century and is known not only for its architectural features but especially for its location. The castle sits high above the capital and offers a stunning view over the bay at dusk. Among other things, it houses the city history museum – its oldest exhibits date back to Mallorca's early history.
Slightly younger are the Gardens of Alfàbia, located between Palma and Sóller, laid out in the 13th century. They're considered a masterpiece of Moorish garden design and offer pleasant shade even in the height of summer. The drive from Palma Airport takes less than half an hour.
The Coves del Drac (Dragon Caves) are a great destination for especially hot days – or the rare rainy one. As the legend-inspired name suggests, this is a nearly 2-kilometer-long cave system. Here, Mallorca reveals a completely different side of its beauty, with four main chambers and Europe's largest underground lake. Since the caves are located on the east coast, expect just under an hour's drive by rental car.
Mallorca: Road Trips Across the Island
With the right car, the journey is the destination. If you want to get to know the island better with a road trip and explore its most beautiful routes – say, in a BMW 4 Series Convertible – here are some of the best routes and destinations we've picked out for you.
Tip #1 takes you from Puerto Pollença to Cap de Formentor, a breathtaking viewpoint in the north of the island. Fans of hairpin turns will love the drive up into the mountains.
If you find your eyes wandering too often from the road to the wild cliff coastline, there are plenty of viewpoints along the way, like Mirador del Pas, where you can safely take it all in.
At the end of the road, a lighthouse awaits on the headland. If you want to cool off along the way, we recommend Playa Formentor, a smaller cove nearby that ranks among the island's most picturesque beaches. A bit quieter is Cala Murta, though it's only reachable via a 20-minute walk.
In the northwest of the island lies the village of Valldemossa, home to a particularly romantic Carthusian monastery. A stay by composer Frédéric Chopin and his partner, writer George Sand, was documented in her travelogue A Winter in Mallorca – which made the village and its secularized monastery world-famous. Today it houses several museums and exhibition spaces, making it well worth a visit.
If sleepy mountain villages and remote lighthouses aren't quite your thing and you're looking for more of an adrenaline rush, we recommend a boat tour with a guided dive. There are numerous operators spread across the island, and with your own rental car, you're free to choose exactly the one you like.
